Solid place to get relatively cheap Chinese food and dumplings in Sunnyvale. They have an extensive menu, so even if you’re not into dumplings, you can still find other stuff to eat. They also gave complimentary edamame, which was a nice surprise. Service was good. You order through a QR code, and the food came out pretty quickly. Dishes were served one at a time, which made the meal feel well-paced. The inside is modern and warm. It looks newly renovated. I like the gold accents on the chopsticks and chairs—it makes the restaurant feel like a casual but slightly-elevated restaurant . Parking was fine. We had no trouble finding parking, just parked in the lot outside.
If you’re craving something spicy and satisfying, the dry pot here hits the spot. Tons of options, whether you’re into meat, veggies, or just loading up on tofu and noodles. Definitely recommend! Tried the tomato broth too. The flavors were a bit on the mild side, but luckily, they’ve got a whole sauce table where you can customize it to your heart’s content. A little extra garlic and chili oil, and you’re good to go. Overall, solid spot for malatang, especially if you like to tweak your flavors. Just be warned once you go spicy dry pot, it’s hard to go back.
Variety of food selection and delicious broth/flavor taste. There is also self service dipping sauce section. Nice place to try out if you like spicy food. Overall a little pricy though, $19.99/lbs.
